Highgate
Highgate is a huge village in the Borough of Haringey as well as the Borough of Camden, it is located in a vicinity north-east of Hamstead Heath. Highgate came to existence on a high hill on land possessed by the Bishop of London.
Once the area was split between another two different boroughs as is it now- back then it used to be the parishes of St Pancras and Hornsey and thats when a line of houses stated to form on Highgate Hill. By the end of the 18th century Highgate was where many “city folk” chose to reside in it filled with houses most of which survive to this day.
